So, it's 5 am and I have been awake for 90 minutes. Can you tell I'm getting excited? My mind is full - not of stress but anticipation! This seems to always happen to me when I am preparing for something BIG.
I found some beautiful pictures online of Piobbico: PICTURES
This program offers young emerging opera singers the chance to train alongside those working in the field as well as live among the locals in Italy.
While in Piobbico I had daily Italian classes as well as prepared for a production of Suor Angelica where I performed the title role. At the end of the program we performed Suor Angelica with orchestra at the Teatro Bramante in Urbania. In addition we had a night of scenes and arias where I sang Mimi in Act III of La Boheme and Donna Elvira in the Sextet, Act II of Don Giovanni.
This was a fabulous experience and I would highly recommend this program to others!
